Still Here, Still Sober

The last couple weeks have been pretty eventful. I've moved into an apartment, handed over the keys to my house yesterday. Downsizing from a house to an apartment was pretty overwhelming! I threw away a lot of old stuff. Clearing away wreckage...

Many regrets, many blessings, much anxiety, much gratitude. A day at a time, through HP and the support of AA, friends in the fellowship, friends in my church, family -- and in fact, support from my wife! -- with a great deal of prayer, I have been blessed with a daily reprieve from my urge to drink.

Today is actually day 90 of sobriety for me. A humbling milestone. Thank you, God, for your mercy, grace and blessings!

Phil, it is SO nice to hear from you! You had me a bit worried. It's really nice to hear everything is going so well for you. I remember that same feeling when we moved into this house. we got rid of a lot of stuff too, and what stuff we kept was completly organized. I think that was one of the best parts of moving. Anyway I'm about ready to take off for the weekend, so glad you posted and gave us all such a great update.

Ditto!!!!!

I was a bit worried too. I think that's normal for us as we see so many instances of relapse. When someone just disappears, it's pretty much the same old story. Glad you're back.

CONGRATS ON 90 DAYS!!!!!!

Phil!

I just checked in to see if you had surfaced and you have and with wonderful news...

CONGRATULATIONS ON 90 DAYS SOBER! I'm SO pleased for you.

Moves are always difficult, even for the 'normal' folks. And for us alkies so used to chaos, it's weird we don't take too well to new surrounding sometimes....you'll get used to your new pad and I'm sure it will feel like home in time. Steady does it, old boy!

Geat to read your words again.

:)

*hug*
